Although stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and tarnishing, following these simple steps will ensure your Sköll piece maintains its character and shine for years.
1. Simple and Effective Cleaning
You don't need expensive chemicals. To remove daily grime:
- Mix warm water with a little neutral soap.
- Submerge the piece for a few minutes and gently rub with a soft cloth or a soft-bristled toothbrush (especially on "dragon scale" links).
- Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly with a microfiber towel to prevent water spots.
2. Avoid Contact with Harsh Chemicals
Although steel is tough, chemicals can dull the finish (especially on pieces with an aged effect):
- Put on your jewelry after applying perfumes, lotions, or hairspray.
- Avoid direct contact with chlorine (pools) or strong cleaning products.
3. Smart Storage
To prevent superficial scratches from rubbing against other jewelry:
